Brad Smith played the full 90 minutes, whilst Adam Federici was an unused substitute, in Australia’s FIFA World Cup qualifying 1-1 draw against Japan in Melbourne.

On the continent on Tuesday evening, Joshua King was on the scoresheet for Norway in their 4-1 FIFA World Cup qualifying victory over San Marino in Oslo.

There was also a World Cup qualifying victory for Poland, for whom Artur Boruc was an unused substitute during their 2-1 win over Armenia in Warsaw.

At under-21 level, Nathan Ake appeared as a second half substitute for Netherlands in their 4-1 UEFA European Championship win over Cyprus.

All of the AFC Bournemouth players away on international duty will rejoin their team-mates ahead of the Cherries’ upcoming Premier League game against Hull City at Vitality Stadium.
