Davinson Sanchez unavailable for Ajax opener as Spurs move looms

Davinson Sanchez appears to be edging closer to joining Tottenham after being left out of Ajax‘ssquad ahead of Saturday’s opening match of the Eredivisie season.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been linked with a move to Spurs in recent days, with reports suggesting that the north London side is prepared to pay over £30 million to secure his services.

Now, it appears that an agreement between the two clubs is on the verge of completion with news that he will be unavailable for selection Saturday against Heracles.

A deal for Sanchez is expected to see Tottenham eclipse the £31-million price tag paid to Newcastle last summer for Moussa Sissoko.

Hopefully, Danny Rose is paying attention to the reports so he doesn’t have to Google Sanchez’s name if the Colombian winds up as his new teammate.
